Practice Model
Los Angeles Patent Group operates under a practice model whereby one of our experienced registered patent attorneys handles every aspect of a client’s case from the inception of the case to its conclusion. Our experience has shown that having one experienced attorney handle every aspect of a particular case eliminates many of the errors, inefficiencies, and overhead that occur within traditional partner, associate attorney, and staff hierarchical practice models:
- Our clients are provided an experienced patent attorney as the single point of contact that is at all times knowledgeable about the latest status of a client’s case.
- All work product is produced by a registered patent attorney who has been working on a case from day one. Tasks are not delegated to unknowledgeable, inexperienced, or disinterested members of a law firm.
- Overhead is reduced by fixing fees upfront. This eliminates hourly billing fees that are not incurred by multiple members of a firm (e.g., partner, associate attorney, staff, etc.) who have been delegated to perform different tasks on the same case. This fixed fee approach welcomes clients to interact at all stages of the process with their patent attorney without having to worry about incurring minute by minute telephone fees or email response fees.
Each attorney has a deep rooted scientific and technical background. Our core practice areas include computer software, computer hardware, and other electronics.
